I don't like tables, I like div's. But then again I don't close tags so what's my opinion worth?

XHTML allows you to separate content from style, which is pretty elegant (and Frontpage is anything but) once you learn it. Plus, the better, cleaner organization that XHTML provides helps build the semantic web.

Additionally, I wouldn't call using a software monopoly's (aka "The Man"'s) product any form of rebellion. More like submission to me :-P .

Now, I am no big XML fan. I usually hate XML because it's way too verbose and not entirely human-friendly. However, XHTML pulls it off pretty well, using the simple HTML-derived tags (think <p> instead of, say, <paragraph>).

One thing that *does* bother me, though, is the ungainly header tag above the <html> tag that is required. Bleh. I am with you on that one.

Everyone who uses Windows uses IE. Firefox sure isn't available on Windows. No siree.
